Formation

13For You FORMED my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them! (Psalm 139: 13-17 NKJV)

These are the words that let us know that even if mistakes take place in the earth, God makes NO mistakes from His throne.  People have said…”My parents  didn’t even want to have me…or I was the product of a rape…and, yet, another, I never knew my parents…I’m just nothing and not wanted at all” 

Here is a Truth for all of us:  God is NOT like man!  Whatever happens on earth God has a remedy.  Even better, God is involved in forming us-you could say He has Pre-formed us…

In this formation He has pre-formed us for greatness.  We were pre-formed to carry His love, name, assurance, strength, etc…

However, Life has crazy ways of de-forming us with its influence of temptation, injustice, sin, and so much more…

Just look at an infant while they are sleeping…In the innocence is where God finds us giving us the nature of receiving, and the grace of giving.  

De-forming is the process of taking something balanced and stable to an awkward and unsafe position.  The enemy wants God’s creation dis-assembled, dis-mantled, and in dis-array.  That is where so many in the world live right now…

The REALLY good news is this: By the work of Christ He brings Trans-formation.  He Trans-Forms those who will humble themselves in innocence before Him.  The Born-Again experience is more than “Being Saved” 

Like an unborn child fashioned by the very hand of God so is the work of the Cross of Jesus Christ.  (Romans 5:8“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”          

He takes a mass of mess and creates His plan and purpose.  Restoration involves Trans-formation, but His plan for us from the beginning remains the same.  We belong to Him, and He will go to great lengths in order to Trans-Form His people.  

Truth is, the more we stay in His presence the more our Formation looks like Him
