Ministry History
Refining Fire Ministry was started by Kevin and Michelle Peterson as a manifestation of the transformation that God was carrying out in their lives. It was under this ministry that they traveled across the country sharing the loving knowledge of Jesus Christ and leading people into a personal relationship with Him. In May of 2010, Kevin felt led to begin “calling the church to her anointing and authority - to mobilize the Spirit of prayer.” The Petersons began teaching, equipping, and encouraging leadership to raise up houses of prayer across the nation. At home, they began developing Deluge Prayer Furnace: a worship and Intercession gathering. Believers who shared this vision, from a variety of churches and backgrounds, came together to seek the Father's heart. As awareness began to spread, the Prayer Mobilization Network (PMN) began to form. However, It wasn't until January of 2013 that PMN truly gained its definition. After suffering from flu-like symptoms for over two weeks, Kevin decided to visit the doctor. During this appointment the family received news that would change their lives and ministry forever. A diagnoses of Colon Cancer was given to Kevin who was immediately rushed to the hospital for an emergency operation to remove a six pound tumor. Once this news was received, countless prayer teams, from around the world, began to intercede on behalf of the family. In a six month span of time, a force of prayer warriors began to emerge and unite. Kevin laid a foundation that would raise up many great ministries. As this step was finalized, he went to be with his Lord and Savior.
