2 Chronicles 7:13,14 both use the words “My people” when God describes His relationship with those for whom He is responsible.  In verse 13 He gives example of consequence when the people forget to whom they belong, and verse 14 describes the responsibility the people have when things are out of order.  “My people”  What a wonderful title He gives to those He chooses.  “Those people” would alienate us, “The people” would be impersonal.  His relationship is one of longsuffering…for better and for worse…Like a marriage is designed in vow and covenant.  He implemented Plan A with no provision for a Plan B.  Prayer is always God’s answer for readjustment, reordering, and renewal.  When “His people” understand He chose us to orchestrate His will in the earth, then we will function with power.  He said “My people” not My person…He can use one person if He must, but He prefers multiples.
Matthew 18:19,20 says “…if two of you agree on earth…”  “…For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them…”  Genesis 1:28 gives direction to His creation to “be fruitful and multiply” Although large numbers have never indicated greater success in God’s economy, His desire is for an army to arise to mobilize His kingdom work in the lives of people.  Gideon did not need 32,000, but neither did he conquer the Midianites by himself.  True, with God there is always a majority in every situation, but He chooses to work with many “Ones” who give themselves in total relationship.  “My people” is a very special title…I want to be among that group…
Prayer in the earth is God’s relationship and intentions carried out through those who declare His heart over it.  A Network of prayer is gathering “His” people who dare believe that they have His authority and are willing to proclaim it.  When Gideon’s Army mobilized for righteousness over the Midianites, great victory was experienced for the nation of Israel.  Its time for the church to function like a network of God’s relationship, taking back anything that the enemy has stolen, declaring righteousness, and contending for justice.  Mobilizing people of prayer into larger capacities gives way for greater influence over intimidating circumstances.
